Visual Arts — Painting, Graphic Art and Mixed Media. Each participant creates an original artwork on one of the official themes announced by the Brainiacs Olympiad.

Performing Arts — Singing and Instrumental Music Performance, solo or in a group. Performers may use an existing composition or one of their own, and read an Artist Statement before performing.

The Preliminary Round is a submission round. Artwork submission deadline: September 26, 2026. Finalists announced: September 28, 2026.

Visual Arts. One original artwork, A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) at most and A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) at least, single-sided, with a title in English, submitted as a high-quality photograph or scan together with a description of up to 200 words. AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is prohibited.

Performing Arts. One recorded performance, at least 720p and no longer than four minutes, shown as a single continuous unedited take with the performer clearly visible throughout. Subtitles are required for all singing performances, including those in English.

Evaluation, Visual Arts. Creativity and Originality 25, Artistic Skill 20, Composition and Design 20, Theme Interpretation 15, Visual Impact 10, Artwork Description and Concept 10. Total 100 points.

Evaluation, Performing Arts. Musical Skill and Technique 25, Musicality and Interpretation 20, Creativity and Originality 20, Performance and Expression 15, Stage Presence and Engagement 10, Overall Artistic Impression 10. Total 100 points.

Participants scoring 40 points or above qualify for the Global Final. All participants receive a Certificate of Participation.

Registration deadline: October 10, 2026. The Global Round runs over two consecutive days and is evaluated independently of the Preliminary Round — preliminary scores do not carry over.

Day 1 — Prepared Work. Finalists present to the International Jury the original artwork or the same musical piece submitted in the Preliminary Round, explaining the concept, the chosen theme, the materials and techniques, the creative process and the intended message. Visual Arts participants must bring the original artwork, and it must match the digital submission.

Day 2 — Creative Challenge. A new artistic task announced at the start of the round. Visual Arts participants have exactly three hours to produce a new original artwork on site, sketching and preparation included. Performing Arts participants complete a new performance-based challenge and must use their own instruments.

Each day carries 100 points, so the Global Final is scored out of 200. Presentation, performance and the Jury's questions together must not exceed 15 minutes per participant.

Medals are awarded on the percentage distribution of final rankings, separately for each Arts Discipline and Category: the top 10% receive Gold, the next 20% Silver, the next 30% Bronze and the following 15% an Honorable Mention. All participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
